Here's what the humans have to say about me:
AVAILABLE 10-17-16 Chubbs was brought to the Shelter by his owner who was moving and couldn't take him with them. They had him since he was a puppy and he's now 3 years old. The owner reported that he was good with kids ages - 4, 6, 11, 12 and 13 years old. He enjoys car rides, leash walks, playing fetch, with his toys and in water. Chubbs is a joy to walk - he lumbers along gently and will wait patiently if his walker needs to stop. He also leans against your leg as if he doesn't want you to leave him. He's a handsome gentle giant. The sad thing is - he tested positive for heart worms which need to be treated. So Chubbs is in desperate need of someone to adopt him and have the heart worms treated, so he can live a long and loving life. If you can provide him with such a home, Chubbs would be FOREVER grateful (and so would we - in fact, the adoption fee could be waived and we could possibly help a little with the cost of the treatment). If interested in Chubbs, PLEASE call or come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City to meet Chubbs - but time is of the essence.
