Meet little Bug!
This adorable Yorkie/Terrier mix girl was recently rescued from a hoarding situation in Kern County. Bug was born into the hoarding situation so she has never been a "normal" dog. She has never walked on leash, been held, or received the love and attention every dog needs. For these reasons Bug is still extremely shy and will need a patient and calm adopter to bring her out of her shell.
Bug is currently living in foster care and making more and more progress each day. A home with older children would be fine for Bug, but little kids would probably really scare her. Bug needs to learn all the basics of dog behavior like walking in leash, "sit", "down", "come" etc. She needs an adopter willing to help bring her out of her shell and show her the world (and people) are not so scary!
Bug is about 2 years old and only weighs 7 pounds. She is an adorable size! She also appears to have hair, not fur, so she may be a great option for people with allergies. Bug does great with other dogs and may be able to live with cats.
Please submit an adoption application for Bug if you think you can help this shy dog have a new lease on life!
