My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dixie, is very much the Heart of Dixie. She is super sweet and lovable. She is dog, cat and kid social, plus house trained and does well on a leash. Dixie is spayed, current on vaccines and preventatives, and microchipped. She "waits" at the door before entering, knows sit, shake and down and is like a sponge at training.
Dixie lost her adopter Dad and her Mom was no longer able to care for her while being overcome with grief. Dixie did not understand all the sadness in her home and is very happy now meeting lots of new siblings to share her heart with.

There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received.

Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org, faxed to 919-300-5524, or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center).
