Easy STRYDER!'s Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Easy STRYDER!'s Story...
Stryder a sweet, friendly, young adult male, had a severe back leg injury. He had to have surgery to remove his leg, and is recovering nicely, but we also learned he is FIV+ (see note). Technically, he is considered special needs, and will need future monitoring for the FIV, but in all actuality, he is fine on 3 legs, and runs around like the best of them! He is otherwise healthy and needs no meds. We call him, "Easy Stryder." This sweet boy is looking for his forever home, where he will be treasured and safe, all the rest of his life.
NOTE: FIV is only contagious to other cats and only through a bite which draws blood. Stryder is playful, and he likes other cats. It would be ideal if he could be in a home where there is another FIV kitty or two. Cats with FIV can live long lives. Born 2014. See our adoption procedures and adoption application at www.lifelineforpets.org. Call 626-676-9505 for more info.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Easy STRYDER!, a Monrovia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Monrovia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Monrovia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Monrovia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Monrovia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Monrovia paves the way for another one to be saved.
