New, from Georgia. Tiger is a year old pittie mix boy from GA. Tiger is a big baby boy, quite literally. He is one year old and already 56lbs. He is a very smart boy and has a strong will. Tiger just wants your love and attention. He wants to climb in your lap and fall asleep. He absolutely loves to go for rides and walks. He never turns down a belly rub.

Tiger plays ball, tug of war and loves to chew. He will need a good bone or elk antler. He does great in the crate, stays quiet all night and has never had an accident in the crate or in the house.

He has a great appetite, will finish every piece and look for more. Tiger is a strong dog and plays a bit rough so be careful that he doesn't knock you over by jumping.

Tiger is a very loving dog and will greet you with a wagging tail and big wet kisses. He has very quickly learned no, sit, stay. We are still working on drop-it...he really likes his treasures.

Tiger does want to "play" with my cats. He hasn't been aggressive but because of his size and age, he should be supervised. He has a lot of energy and it would be best if he had an area where he could run and jump off leash.

$300 adoption fee. Available early November.

Our Adoption Process...

Potential adopters need to fill out an adoption application. References will be checked and a home visit conducted. Potential adopters need to ensure that any current pets and all family members meet with us prior to any adoption. Adopters are responsible for confirming with their homeowners insurance company that there will be no lapse in coverage with a rottweiler or pitbull on premises. Adopters are also responsible for confirming that there is no breed specific legislation in their community.

Processing adoption applications involves our volunteers' time and resources. We ask that you REVIEW OUR ADOPTION CONTRACT which outlines training, housing and fencing requirements BEFORE YOU APPLY. If agreeing to all of the terms in the contract is not something you are willing to comply with, please do not apply.

We prefer our dogs to be placed in northern New England because that's where we are physically. We will extend our adoptions to the immediate surrounding states including northern New Jersey and New York based on volunteer availability.

In accordance with the regulations set forth by the Department of Agriculture in New Hampshire, For the Love of Dog considers our "coverage area" to be New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts. Dogs who originate outside of our coverage area require additional pre-entry medical expenses and quarantine as well as transportation fees.

Unless otherwise noted, the adoption fee for dogs are as follows:

Rottweilers originating from our coverage area :: $350 ($400 for dogs 6 months and under).
