My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I was by her side when she took her last breath… My name is Sissy and I’m 3 years old. My human mommy and I moved to Pascagoula, MS and had been at our new place for only a week before she went to heaven. That day started out like any other day; however, I sensed something was a little off but I couldn’t quite put my paw on it. After we ate, mom did the usual and was sitting at the table working on her laptop. I laid on the couch watching her as she worked, I still had an uneasy feeling that I couldn’t shake. She got up from the table and turned to me, that’s when I saw that look on her face. She took a few steps toward me, then fell to the floor. In a panic I jumped down and went to her, she was struggling, her body shaking. I kissed her face repeatedly, trying to soothe and calm her. She started to settle, she wasn’t shaking anymore. She looked at me, her eyes sleepy. She told me she loved me and didn’t want to leave me. I kissed her tears away one by one and told her that I will always love her and that I’ll be right here by her side. She closed her eyes and went to heaven. I stayed right there by her side for several days until the maintenance man discovered us. Even then, with the police and paramedics coming in and out, I stayed right there by her side. My mom taught me a lot about love and I want to share it with someone. I am an outgoing girl, who loves humans, canines and felines. I like to go for walks and car rides. I like to snuggle and cuddle and sleep in the bed with my human companion. If you are interested in adopting me, Please visit the rescue’s website and submit an application.
