Hermine's Story...
HI, My name is Hermine and my foster mom says I was found during the tropical storm that we had in September. I was so scared, wet and lonely, all by myself until I was found and taken in by the good folks at St. Francis! Since then its been nothing but full tummies, butterfly kisses, and plenty of lap naps. I love to play with my foster friends and when tired I curl up on my hoomans. They are so nice to me but say we have to find a furrever home.
Furrever home?? Is that you? Will you please adopt me? I promise lots os butterfly kisses and lap naps if you keep my tummy full!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hermine, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
