Facts about Shelley and George, Angels Who Beat the Odds

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Orange Or Red (Mostly)
  • Age: Kitten
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 10707175-Tara
  • Hair: Short

Both of these dear babies had a rough start to their life. Shelley (the tortie) and her new little brother-from-another-mother, George (the orange tabby), were rescued when they were very young and sickly, and were given all the TLC that Brooklyn Animal Action, dedicated fosters, and talented vets could provide. Now, they are perfectly healthy and happy, and more than ready to find their forever home by each other’s sides!

George is uber-affectionate and friendly, while Shelley is all-around super sweet. They love to play together and sleep together, so we can’t imagine separating them. Shelley unexpectedly and heartbreakingly lost her biological brother, also an orange tabby, and was so sad and lonely without him until she met George—now, with George by her side, she’s truly blossoming again.

Their pasts behind them, Shelley and George are the perfect pair, ready to meet their new forever friend(s).

Both kitties tested negative for FeLV/FIV and are up to date on vaccines. Shelley is spayed and George will be when he is old enough. If you’d like to meet this heart-melting pair, contact Tara Green at catsbkny@gmail.com!

Thank you for thinking of animals in need - your support allows us to help the next furry sweetheart!

About Brooklyn Animal Action

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a Brooklyn-based group of volunteers committed to improving the lives of animals in distress by working with our communities. We are dedicated to Trap-Neuter-Release programs, finding homes for adoptable animals, performing community outreach and education, and engaging in advocacy.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please email us at BrooklynAnimalAction@gmail.com if you are interested in meeting one of our rescued cats.

Our Adoption Process...

Interested adopters can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt one of our animals, they must fill out an adoption application. If that is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for a donation to help us continue our work.
