Eliza is a sweet girl who just wants to snuggle and be pet. She can be timid and shy, but is very gentle once she warms up. She loves catnip, napping in blanket forts, and sitting in windows watching the birds. She dislikes loud noises and being held. Though she is quick to hid when there are noises, she is quick to come out after she knows it is safe.
She gets along great with our dog, but the dog isn''t interested in her at all.

Act quickly to adopt *ELIZA. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

About Austin Animal Center

About Our Shelter...

Austin Animal Center is the largest open-intake animal shelter in central Texas and we work very hard to try to save 90% or more of the thousands of animals we shelter every year. We always need volunteers and both monetary and in-kind donations to help us in our sheltering and prevention activities. Visit our website to find out how you can help!

Come Meet Our Pets...

The Austin Animal Center is open for adoptions every day from 11:00am to 7:00pm. We're closed Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Thanksgiving Day to give our staff some time with family.
Interested adopters should come to the shelter during business hours to meet with a counselor start looking for a pet who'll be a good fit. Our counselors and volunteers are happy to help with that process.

Our Adoption Process...

Our standard Adoption fee for healthy, younger pets is $75. Pets over 5 years old have no adoption fee. Adoption includes a microchip and collar & tags, all the vaccinations a pet is old enough to receive, and spay or neuter surgery.
Adopters must be at least 18 yrs old with a current photo ID. Pets already in the home should have a current rabies vaccination and we may need to confirm permission for adoption from the owner of the property where an adopter lives.
