Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This beautiful Old English Sheepdog/bearded collie mix is approx 3 years old and 52 lbs. He is very underweight and will need to fill out some more, and his coat needs to fill in as he eats good food. He was found abandoned in he woods in the Texas country side and no owner could be found. He is a sweet dog who likes being with people and doesn't like to spend too much time alone. He gets along well with the other dogs but tends to keep to himself and is not one for playing with them as yet. He does love wandering around the yard with them. He will need an experienced owner that is used to the grooming requirements that this breed needs and he does pretty well on a leash but could do with some basic leans/obedience training. We think he will do best in a home without small children. Overall he seems like a very sweet, calm dog in need of a loving family. Bracewell tested positive for heartworm, will be treated with the required injections, and be put on a monthly preventative.
The total adoption donation of $700 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
