My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I’m Ginny, and these are just a few of my favorite things. I am a petite little girl at just 19 pounds, and am a beautiful Ginger with a red and white coat. Not a lot is known about my past, because I was dumped and abandoned before Midwest BREW swooped in to rescue me. I am 2-3 years old, and had puppies at some point, but all that is behind me now and I’m living the good life in my foster home!
I am crate trained, and house trained (a couple accidents the first 2 days until I figured things out). I do well on a leash, and foster mom says I am the quietest foster she has ever had! Even when I do bark or arooo, it’s the smallest little woo woowoo! I love car rides, and get along great with the two other beagles that live here. I haven’t been around cats, so foster mom doesn’t know if I would get along, or if I would treat them like prey! And I do love to roll, roll, roll! Foster mom made sure I didn’t have any fleas or skin conditions that were making me itch, and I’m fine; I just love to roll!
Of course, I am a Beagle, so there are a couple habits that you will have to adjust to if you bring me home! Foster mom says that along with the quietest, I’m also the most food driven foster she’s seen! It’s a good thing I’m small or I’d be on the table sharing your dinner. We are working on not jumping up and begging, but it is sooooo hard. You will have to be careful to keep food out of reach! I also have a pretty strong prey drive, and go crazy outside when I see a squirrel or chipmunk. Always make sure my harness and collar fit tight, and watch that I don’t chew through the leash to get after those critters! I’ve also been known to start digging to reach those pesky chipmunks underground in their burrows!
I did show a fear of thunder one day when we had a big storm, and I quivered and shivered until it was over. I might need some help during thunderstorm season to get past those fears. Except for those things though, foster mom says I am a super sweetheart and would make someone a wonderful friend. Ask Midwest BREW for me, Ginny, today!
