Simcoe is an amazing dog with a larger than life personality! She'll chase a ball with you, follow you through the woods and then snuggle up nice and close on the couch. She's a little excited by car rides and it's a good idea to buckle her in. Who can blame her? The car takes you to fun places!

Simcoe was born Fb, 19, 2009 and is energetic, fun, happy, playful dog looking for a forever home. She loves to walk, loves people and loves to play. Simcoe does enjoy playing large, calm dogs, but she can be overwhelming for small dogs. She just doesn't know her own size! We will require a home where Simcoe is the only dog. While she will play outside, she doesn't like to have doggy friends in her home.

Please note that Simcoe is not a purebred poodle and her coat does shed a little.

If you would like to meet Simcoe, please email us to start the conversation. Please note that Simcoe is being fostered in the Bowmanville area and you must be able to travel there to meet her. We require that you complete an adoption application prior to meeting any of our dogs. An adoption fee will apply at time of adoption.

About Standard Poodles In Need, Rescue & Rehome

About Our Rescue Group...

SPIN strives to educate and raise public awareness about how to be responsible for and share your life with a companion animal. We talk about the importance of spay/neuter programs, the deplorable conditions found in puppy mills and advocate for change. We are most proud, however, of our work in engaging like-minded people together by providing a forum to discuss how to care for and celebrate the poodle breed, but also to come together when necessary to help poodles in need.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All our dogs are in loving foster homes so you must have an appointment to meet them.

Our Adoption Process...

Each adoptive family will complete an application, come out to meet the available dog(s) and then email us after the meeting to let us know their intentions to pursue the adoption. We will do a home visit, check their references and then decide on the best home for each dog. Once a home is chosen, the family will sign our adoption contract and pay the $450 adoption fee prior to taking their new family member home with them!
