Gretchen is a sweet 8 year old, red short hair, standard female. She likes to cuddle in your lap and get pets and scratches, but she can also hangout on her doggie bed alone with a toy and watch the beautiful weather. Gretchen likes to occasionally chat with the neighbor's dogs, but stops once asked. She would thrive in an environment/home without other pets and small children so she can get all of the love and attention she deserves. She is a very loyal companion who gets easily attached to her human and will try to protect, but we are currently working on her manners. She'd love to cuddle and shower her new human with cute kisses on the nose, will you give Gretchen the second chance she deserves?!

Our Adoption Process...

We do not send dogs or puppies cross country for adoption. There are dachshunds rescues everywhere. Please check with your local rescue for adoption out of state. You must be able to meet a potential family member in person to be considered for adopting. All of our kids are fully vaccinated, heart worm tested, microchipped and altered. Interested in meeting one of the pack? Send an email to and we can set that up for you.
