Pepper WAS a city girl, but now she's ready for the more relaxed life! This beautiful 7yr old girl came to us from a shelter in NYC, where she had been relinquished by her owners. Despite all of the changes, Pepper has taken everything in stride. This girl is not only amazingly sweet, she is also very smart! She knows how to sit, lie down, give her paw, come, and stay. Her previous owners noted that she was crate trained and will quietly sleep in her crate when they would leave the house. She also lived with young children and was very good with them. Pepper has been nothing but a mush since she came to us. She loves attention and getting belly rubs. She is literally the perfect family dog! The only reason Pepper was given up is because she did not get along with a female dog in her home. We think she would be fine living with a male, or as an only dog. She is definitely not a fan of kitties though. Although she probably shouldn't share her home with another female, she has no issues meeting other dogs when out on walks. She is polite, will give them a sniff, and then wants to keep it moving. Please do not let her age fool you, she is still full of puppy playfulness and has SO much love to give.

If you've been looking for the perfect family pup, come down and meet Pepper! And if you'd like to see more pictures, videos, and info on her, you can go to http://nycdogs.urgentpodr.org/pepper-a1084145/
