Here is what Gretchen's owner has to say about her.

Gretchen is a mild-manored, gentle female rottweiler in her last third of her life. Gretchen is a low energy dog, who appreciates a good walk and a fenced yard to roam but would really prefer to hang on her dog bed in the room that you are in. She is a champion snuggler and champion protector.
Gretchen is great with people including kids, she is not great with cats, and is okay with other dogs after a bit of work, Gretchen's ideal new home would be with someone who is retired and looking for a loyal companion.

About Our Rescue Group...

PAWS of Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap is a volunteer-based nonprofit animal welfare organization that promotes responsible pet ownership and the reduction of pet overpopulation. Our Adoption Process...

By adopting from PAWS, you not only gain a loving companion – you save a life! We have an enormous variety of animals to choose from -- purebreds, mixed breeds, all ages and personalities -- and our adoption counselors are specially trained to help you choose the pet that's a perfect fit.

PAWS requires that our animals be spayed or neutered before they are adopted. We also require the permission of your landlord if you're renting your home. After you adopt a pet, we expect that you'll have it properly licensed and provide it with a lifetime of responsible care, including nutritious food, fresh water, adequate exercise and regular veterinary visits. And, of course, a lot of love! Adoption donations are $110 for adult cats, $150 for kittens (up to 6 months) and $50 for seniors (age 5 and up)
