Jewels (New Photos)'s Story...
"Jewels" is a beautiful 10-month old female Labrador Retriever mix who was surrendered by her family on October 4, 2016. This little dollbaby has a shiny black short smooth coat with a white blaze on her chest, a rather long body, short legs, and a long tail. "Jewels' has an adorable face with a long muzzle, hopeful brown eyes, and large floppy ears. She is good with other dogs, children, and cats. "Jewels" is merely an overgrown puppy and has the natural instincts which puppies normally have .. which includes chewing and getting into mischief :) When Jewels first came to our shelter, it broke our hearts to see her looking so sad and not wanting to leave the comfort/security of her kennel bed. But we could also understand what it was like to be a frightened little girl in an unfamiliar place :( "Jewels" is slowly making progress and learning to trust our kennel techs and a few volunteers. She ventured outdoors with one of her favorite volunteers Rick Braham) recently, and we took the opportunity to take a few photos that evening. "Jewels" is still very cautious and it shows in her beautiful eyes. She is a petite girl who weighs 27 lbs. "Jewels" needs some extra TLC

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jewels (New Photos), a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
