Walter's Story...
10-17-16 Walter and his brother Brantley came to us through a divorce situation. While they have been loved, they've only been outside dogs, often free roaming, so it's a miracle they are both still alive. They LOVE people and do well with other dogs.
They have absolutely no training though and are going to require a home that is patience and willing to put in the time and work it takes to acclimate them to living in a "real" home.
Walter has a good bit of energy, and will often jump up trying to get your attention. He is a happy go lucky boy that will do best in a home that already has another dog.
They are up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention and will be neutered and microchipped soon.

Please go to our website and fill out an application
www.northmeckanimalrescue.org

Our adoption fee $195 includes spay/neuter, parvo/distemper series of shots, rabies if dog is old enough, bordatello, heartworm preventative while here, worming, and microchipping.

We appreciate your patience as our volunteer-only team reviews your application and updates our website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Walter, a Charlotte Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
