GREMIE's Story...
Gremie is a female lab mix.

Gremie is part of a litter of 5 plus one other lab mix that are coming from Alabama this week. The litter was found along the side of a country road while the single pup had been at the shelter.

Check out little Gremie with her big foster sister Sheba (also for adoption).

These little rug rats are estimated to be about 10 lbs each, and have received their first round of shots. Once they arrive we will have them all spayed, neutered, micro-chipped and shots completed. We are hoping to have these babies in their forever homes by Thanksgiving. They have already started getting a lot of attention, so get those applications in! We will arrange meet and greets in the order of applications received so each family could pick out who they love the most.

Males: Bones & Jack (Jack is not the same litter)
Females: Hallow, Casper, Gremie & Candy

Why Adoption is a Great Option

GREMIE, a Elgin Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Elgin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Elgin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elgin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elgin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elgin paves the way for another one to be saved.
