Hey guys, Dallas here again! Thought I would give you an update on what is happening with me. I moved to a foster home a few weeks ago so I could keep up with all my training. So far I am doing amazing! My foster mom says I am a very smart boy; I have learned to give paw and to sit at the open door and wait 'till I get released.
I would really like a pretty active family, because I do have energy. Although, anytime you want to cuddle, I'm down! I love my belly rubs too! I also stick by you when we are outside together - I listen VERY well! Some of my favorite things to do are playing with my tennis ball and or going into the WATER! I absolutely love swimming, whether it's with you or fetching a toy.
If you're game, I would love for you to come meet me and play with me. I love all people! I'd make a great Christmas addition to your family!
I'm Back!!! I went to Board and Train! I went there to learn to focus not so much on the ball but on people when they are talking to me. I have come a long way and am much better at realizing that a ball isn't all that there is to life.
Don't get me wrong; I still love to play ball, but now I walk better on a leash, will come and drop the ball when you ask me to, and will settle down and be still even when a ball is right there in front of me.
I think a family who is active and will keep up my training would be the best fit for me. I am no couch potato, that is for sure. If you think I sound like a good fit for you and your family, please send an email to LEARN.
Hi there! My name is Dallas. I'm about 4 years old, and, boy, do I have energy to BURN! I am part of the Retrievers and Redemption Program. I am food motivated and can focus pretty well if there are no balls/toys in site. A ball is my favorite thing in the world. I am actually a bit obsessed over it and will keep looking for it even when you say we are done playing. So making me take a break now and then is a good thing for me.
Once I'm in my room for the night I snuggle down with you or in my bed and love to have long soothing pets. Since I love to be on the go, I think that I would really like Rally or Agility. Or maybe I could become a working dog? I think if I had a job to do that I might like that. Because of all my energy I do eat a lot. I actually have 2 cups in the morning and night and a lunch of 3 cups because of all the play I do!
I do really well off leash and stick right with you. So if you love to play or want to become someone who does, please let LEARN know if you've already filled out an application and have had an interview. Come and meet me, Dallas!
