Millie's Info...

I am in need of an experienced adopter and not good with kids.

Millie's Story...
Millie is a female short haired American guinea pig, who is estimated to be 1 to 1 1/2 yrs old. Millie was pulled from a shelter on her last day. Her prev. owners did not give much info. on her other than to say "didn't want anymore". Millie's world has been turned up-side down. She did do very well when we cut her nails and didn't seem to mind being held or sitting on a towel on our lap. It does take a few moments to catch her. She does like to be in her hut. So far, she loves carrots, apples, and green leaf lettuce, dandelion leaves, green peppers. Because of her timidness, she is not recommended for a child under 10 yrs old. Her adoption will include a large cage. (39" long 20"high 18" wide) a hut, food dish and water bottle.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millie, a Harleysville Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Harleysville, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Harleysville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harleysville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harleysville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harleysville paves the way for another one to be saved.
