Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Luke the albino kingsnake was rescued by Empty Cages Collective after he was abandoned at NYC Animal Care & Control. This handsome snake is now looking for a loving home to call his own.
Luke is slender and measures approximately 3 feet in length. These snakes measure, on average, 3-4 feet in length, and can live up to 20 years with proper care. Luke enjoys exploring his habitat, taking baths, and resting in his cave. Given his low visual acuity, Luke gets a bit jumpy with sudden movements, but he is now used to being handled. Luke would prefer an experienced or patient snake parent willing to learn proper care.
We wish all snakes could live freely in their native habitats. Until such a time arrives that humans recognize that other sentient beings deserve their freedom and respectful treatment, we will try our best to place refugees of the exotic pet trade in qualified, caring homes.
