My name is Sophie!

English Bulldog Dog for adoption in Freeport, New York - Sophie

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Sophie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sophie's Story...
Sophie is a wonderful girl who was surrendered through no fault of her own. She lived with a family for 3.5 years after she was used by a breeder to make lots of money for the first part of her life. Nothing like disposable dogs! People suck! She is 7 1/2 years old and in very good health for an almost senior EB. And now she is looking for real real forever home.
Ideally a single story home would be ideal for her and an experienced Bulldog person is a must!
Bulldogs are so special and get so attached that it's important that she go to the right home the first time. It is difficult for her to do a lot of stairs so a house that she needs to go up and down is not do-able for her. She is good with other dogs and children but children must be respectful and have excellent dog manners.
Vet references and a home check are a must.
If you are interested in Sophie please email us at for an adoption application
She is located in East Rockaway NY and there will be an adoption fee for her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Freeport English Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog for sale in Freeport, or seeking a English Bulldog dog from a breeder in Freeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Freeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Freeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog breeders who help with English Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Freeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
