Rudi and Clarise lived with an elderly woman who was dying & when she could no longer care for her dogs, she called a rescuer to remove them to a safe place. We've included some photos of where these dogs lived. Although the living conditions were horrible, this woman loved her dogs & cared for them the best she could.
Rudi is a purebred female Yellow Lab, 4 years old, weighing 102 pounds, spayed and fully vetted. Her best friend is Clarise, a Golden Retriever who lived with her. Because we feel that Rudi and Clarise are very attached to each other, they will only be adopted as a bonded pair. We think it would be best if they went to a home that had a fenced in yard since she is somewhat unsure of all the changes she has been through lately.
From a volunteer: We took them out for a walk today and they were so happy. They are gentle and sweet and are never far from each other. They are timid but come around quickly and seem eager to be pet by us.
Please give Rudi & Clarise a chance to find a safe & caring home with people who will love them both. You can fill out an application at www.ehrdogs.org and ask for her by name – RUDI & CLARISE SCAS - BONDED PAIR!
