Meet Scarlett and Maroon! These two are a tightly bonded male and female pair who are looking for a home together. They do everything together and feel more comfortable when they are with each other. Maroon is a big, gorgeous boy who is charming and outgoing when Scarlett is around. Scarlett is a shy, sensitive sweetie who is a little slow to trust and does better with women. She looks to Maroon for reassurance and he makes all the friends! They love to be with each other, and play with each other. They have done well with other dogs but can't be placed with cats. While they had previously lived outdoors, Scarlett and Maroon are looking forward to being cherished indoor pets with a nice and secure fenced yard where they can play. They are already doing well with crate-training. They are on the young side, with Scarlett around 15 months and Maroon around 2 years old. These two gentle, sweet dogs have been holding out and waiting for a wonderful forever home that will give them all the attention, patience, and care they've always wanted and deserve. Maroon promises to be keep you entertained and Scarlett will shower you with affection once you've won her trust!

NGPR does not adopt dogs to homes with children under 6 years old.

About Us: National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) is not a shelter. We are a not-for-profit, tax-exempt coalition of Pyr rescuers and rescue groups. We save Pyrs and Pyr mixes across the country and place them in approved foster homes so we know how they will interact with your family. Please consider adopting or fostering. Every dog who is fostered or adopted makes room for another Pyr coming out of a kill shelter. Prior to adoption, NGPR dogs are fostered for a minimum of two weeks (usually more), spayed or neutered and fully vetted. Dogs coming from out of area are certified with a USDA health certificate before going to their new homes. Our rescuers adhere to the highest placement standards and will take back any dog whose adoption does not succeed. Visit www.nationalpyr.org to learn more about us, our mission and our breed.
