Lily's Story...
Meet Lily, the adorably blind Pekingese! Lily is about 3 years old, and although she is blind, she gets around just fine. Lily is very loving and sweet, and loves to just sit by your side and get belly rubs. She is a bit of a snorter, but it’s quite charming! Lily enjoys others dogs, and especially likes to play with dogs who around her same size. She is also great with cats, and everyone she meets! Lily likes to follow her foster mom everywhere, and always comes when called. She does great in a crate, and is currently working on housetraining, but is very good at going outside. Lily is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lily, a San Diego Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
