Dobby's Story...
"Hello, friends. My name is DOBBY. I'm an easy-going and good-natured Doberman mix who's about eight years old. I'm a mellow fellow, although I do enjoy going for walks, skipping around the play yard, and being silly. Most Doberman dogs are large, but I'm a medium-sized guy. I think you'll like my unusual blue and tan coat, along with my warm, loving eyes. Everyone tells me that I'm quite handsome. As a gentleman, I get along nicely with people, and I'm generally a pretty laid-back guy. If a family adopts me, I'd do best in a home where the kids are older and considerate. No other dogs in the home for me, please. I've already been house trained, so I'd be a wonderful house dog. I'd like to be in a home with soft beds and kind people. Won't you please come visit me so you can see firsthand what a good boy I am? I'm waiting for you here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter. Let's get to know each other out in the nice play yard that they have here. I hope to see you soon. Love, Dobby"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dobby, a El Cajon Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
