Luke's Story...
Luke is a handsome 22-pound, 8 month old Border Collie / Blue Heeler mix.

Life with his former owner was not a good one. As a result, Luke is very shy and hesitant to trust people. But his POOCH trainer reports that the reward for patience is great! Once Luke warms up he gives you all the love and attention a person could ask for.

Do you have the patience and love to help Luke blossom? Please call the kennel at (503) 981-2570 to schedule a visit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luke, a Woodburn Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Woodburn, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Woodburn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woodburn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woodburn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woodburn paves the way for another one to be saved.
