Hi, my name is SPARKY and I would love to meet you. I am a Neutered Male Chihuahua - Smooth Coated mix. The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 6 months old. I have been at the shelter since Jul 13, 2016.

Sparky is a real lover -- a regular Casanova, so to speak! -- he needs someone who doesn`t mind having their face washed every now and then. Sparky is very timid but sweet, and would prefer a home where his person is not gone for long periods of time and has the time and energy to spend training him. He is currently living with another small dog and they get along just fine, but he would be equally happy to be your one and only. A fenced yard and an ADULT-ONLY home is definitely preferred as he does like plenty of exercise but is nervous with too much activity and noise. Oh, and he likes to sleep right up next to you, under the covers -- but he is not spoiled in his foster home or anything! Sparky has been enjoying a bit of travelling with his foster family and he loves to ride in the RV. For more information about Sparky, please contact his foster family directly at

Our Adoption Process...

Adopters are asked to fill out a brief survey to help match them with the pet that is right for them.
Adoption fees vary, but the typical fees are: Cats - $60, Dogs - $140, and Rabbits - $75. Pet license fees may also be charged. Dogs, cats and rabbits are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, and dogs and cats are microchipped, and receive initial vaccinations. More information about adoption can be found at
