Hi, my name is SPARKY and I would love to meet you. I am a Neutered Male Chihuahua - Smooth Coated mix. The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 11 months old. I have been at the shelter since Jul 13, 2016.

Gosh, what`s a guy to do to get a home around here! I`m Sparky and I have been hanging out in my foster home for NINE MONTHS waiting for my hoomans to show up. My foster home is great and all, but it`s not the same as a REAL home. Okay, MAYBE I`m a little bit picky, but life can be scary for a little guy like me. I take time to warm up to people, and those small people called `kids` are just too noisy for my comfort levels. I currently hang out with another chihuahua my size but I get along with all of the dogs that come and go in my foster home - big or small I love them ALL! I`ve never been around cats, but I hear they are kind of like dogs so I guess that would be okay too. My favorite thing to do with my foster hoomans is to ride around in their RV with them, I LOVE to travel! And I`m the perfect size for it too! Have your people email my people at so we can set up a `date!`

Our Adoption Process...

Adopters are asked to fill out a brief survey to help match them with the pet that is right for them.
Adoption fees vary, but the typical fees are: Cats - $60, Dogs - $140, and Rabbits - $75. Pet license fees may also be charged. Dogs, cats and rabbits are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, and dogs and cats are microchipped, and receive initial vaccinations. More information about adoption can be found at
