My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LEONARD is a 7 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 60 pounds. Leonard is very sweet & friendly and just wants a home of his own! He is good with other dogs. Cats are unknown. There is no history of Leonard living with children so he is approved for ages 10+.

Update: Leonard is just great! He’s playful without becoming overly rambunctious. He’s quiet, goes into his crate to sleep at night and doesn’t fuss during the night. He knows several commands (“sit”, “come”) and will sit without prompting to get a treat which he takes very gently. Most importantly, he loves to give lab “kisses” and generally just wants to please. He’s a very “easy keeper."

From the transporter: Leonard is a very sweet dog. He was a little restless on the trip but quiet. Leonard takes treats very gently and knows "sit".

This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. who rescues and places dogs in Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and northeast North Carolina (30 miles east of I-95 and north of the Pamlico Sound) Adopters must travel to Maryland, Virginia or Washington DC with their family - human and canine - to meet the dog they want to adopt.

Lab Rescue LRCP has between 50 - 80 dogs available for adoption from foster homes across Maryland and Virginia and at monthly adoption events. The adoption event dates are listed at www.lab-rescue.org.
