Winnie's Story...
Hi! My name is Winnie and I’m a 5-year-old Beagle mix and weigh about 30 lbs. Despite having a tough start on life, I still love everybody! I go out in public all of the time and meet lots of new people and new dogs and I’m always a perfect angel. I’m very gentle with children and I get along with dogs of all sizes and I even like cats! I love to give kisses and cuddle, but I will explore the house or lay down and wait for you if you’re busy. I am fully house-trained and crate trained and NEVER chew anything up, plus I sleep quietly in my kennel at night. You will never meet a dog that’s happier to be with her people, so let me know if you’re looking for a cuddle buddy to give you unconditional love!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winnie, a San Antonio Beagle/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Basset Hound for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Beagle/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Basset Hound breeders who help with Beagle/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
