Cowboy's Story...
**COURTESY POST. THIS DOG IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH WHAT'S UP DOG! LA.**

My name is Cowboy. I'm a 2 1/2 year old Picardy Sheep dog possibly mixed with Bearded Collie. I'm a California boy always looking for the next big adventure.

Although I'm almost the big 3, my energy is that of a puppy. I love to bounce around, run wild and play. I love playing fetch but Id rather my human friends run and play with me. I love early walks in the morning and laying around in the afternoon. In the evenings I love a nice relaxing walk before bed, and even though I love playing outside all day, I prefer to sleep warm inside during the night.

I know a few tricks, like sit and stay. I'm eager to learn new ones. I'm loyal, obedient, and fun going. Meeting new people and dogs is scary for me at times, but once I get to know you I'm sure we'll be pals.

My ideal family would be that of a one dog home. Preferably a mom and dad that are active and like taking long walks. I love big yards, soccer balls and running. I'm looking for a forever home, a forever family, and forever fun.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cowboy, a Los Angeles Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Bearded Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Bearded Collie for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Bearded Collie dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Bearded Collie breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Bearded Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
