Madeline was dumped in a rural area around Sulphur Springs, TX. She appears to have been someone's pet -- she's well-fed and LOVES people. But she was probably dumped by someone who didn't want to deal with puppies.
Madeline looks and acts very young, so we think she probably got pregnant during her first or second heat cycle. We're estimating her date of birth around August 0f 2014.
Based on her size, coat, and high energy level, we think Madeline is probably a Blue Heeler/Catahoula mix. She will need to be adopted as a house pet, NOT for working on a farm, as the reason someone called rescue for help is because she was chasing their cows. In her first foster home, Madeline attacked the goats, so she will NOT be adopted to a home with livestock.
Madeline has been vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped, so she is ready to find her new home TODAY!
