Hello I am Thalia, a very sweet 4 year old smallish Chihuahua mix at 11.5 lbs. The previous owner got Thalia from a shelter when she was only a little puppy and they were happy together until the owner moved to assisted living and could no longer care for Thalia. Living a quiet life suited Thalia well, she is a little shy and insecure in new situations. An all adult home or a home with older and respectful children would also work well for Thalia. Once she warms up she likes to be petted and loves walks in the neighborhood to check out what is going on out there in the world. Thalia is trained on puppy pads, her first owner could not take her out on walks. Thalia is doing very well on house training and with a regular routine she is keeping clean. She sleeps through the night in her crate (with door open) and Thalia likes her crate as a place where she can enjoy alone time when she like to take a break from the hustle in an active home. She shares the space in her foster home with 5 other dogs and she gets along well with both males and females.
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
