Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Owen but I love to hear my foster family call me Owie or Owie-O. I am a 14 week old cream colored beautiful lab puppy. My parents were 3/4 lab and 1/4 who knows. My foster family thinks my 1/4 is lamb because I am so gentle and sweet and I resemble one, too. I am very submissive in nature but not timid. I have a calm demeanor for a puppy but I still have all those great puppy traits. I play so nicely with the 6 and 9 year old boys in the house. I love their energy and am not afraid of all the loud noises and quick movements they make. When I see them first thing in the morning and when they come home from school, I immediately run to them and drop to the ground and show them my belly. My tail also wags with excitement and I whimper in glee. When they get on the floor with me, I nuzzle as close as I can to them and try to have them wear me like a scarf. I haven't learned to jump up on people yet, so that will be one thing less to teach me. I am housebroken but I need a lot of reminders. I am just starting to go to the door to let you know I need to go outside. I am quiet and don't bark but will do a soft gruff if I see something I haven't seen before. I look to my people for guidance and reassurance when approaching new things. I easily accept them when I know someone is there to tell me it's okay. I am very gentle with the senior lab I live with. I have tried to get him to play but he won't. I get the point and am not the pushy type. I really try to get the 10 pound Coton de Tulear to play but she just pushes me around. I think she likes taking advantage of my submissiveness. When she corrects me, I run. I love to chew, so I will need supervision and will need to be crated when you are away. I correct easily and will turn my attention to an appropriate chew toy. I do well with a soft approach to correction. I am not stubborn in nature. I also LOVE playing fetch. I am good at bringing it close to you and can't wait for it to be thrown again. After playing I am a lap dog. I will sleep on you for a long time. I love the physical attention and my family feels like I really need it to be happy. I just love people!
