Additional Information: Valentina, who now goes by "Val," is an absolute sweetheart. She's not had the easiest life, living on the mean streets of North Carolina. She was in slightly rough shape when she arrived at City Kitties, but with the help of some yummy food, love, toys and a comfy chair to lounge on, she has blossomed into a kind, affectionate, beautiful little lady. She loves head rubs and will even grab your hands (not using her claws at all) and bring them to her head for more love. Not having the greatest first part of her life, she deserves nothing but the best for the next phase. For just a few head, ear and chin scratches, she'll show you eternal love and companionship. Val is great with other cats, dogs and children. Can you see her as the next addition to your family? If so, apply for her now!
If you are interested in meeting a cat, we require an adoption application. Visit http://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adopt-a-city-kitty.html to apply. If a cat has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon.
City Dogs Rescue is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our animals (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Our cat adoption fee is $150 unless noted. Prior to arrival, all of our cats are spayed/neutered (unless specified) and given shots for Rabies, FVRCP, and Feline leukemia. They are microchipped and tested for FIV and FeLV. They are dewormed at least twice and given a health check by the vet.
