FOSTER / FOSTER-TO-ADOPT NEEDED /// ARRIVES SATURDAY OCTOBER 29

Gavin was just saved from a high-kill shelter in California and is on his way to Seattle to find his forever home, arriving on Saturday October 29th. Gavin is a 2-year-old Bull Dog Pitbull mix, about 45 lbs and 2 years old. He has been temp tested with other dogs and has shown no aggression.

We are looking for a foster home to care for this dog with a minimum 10-day commitment to help us asses the dog's personality and best fit in a forever home. We cover all veterinary expenses and can also reimburse for food for provide supplies, if necessary. Fosters have the first option to adopt with an approved application, however we do value fosters not adopting, as the more fosters we have, the more dogs we can save from the shelter!

If you can help, please email info@gingerspetrescue.org ASAP!

About Ginger's Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Ginger’s Pet Rescue is one of the largest non-profit pet rescue organizations in Washington state, and we specialize in saving Death Row Dogs. Our mission is to give homeless animals with no hope the life they deserve through rescue, foster and adoption. We rely on a large network of fosters in the Seattle area, who provide our dogs with love and care during transition from rescue to adoption. We do not have a physical shelter location; to meet the dogs in our rescue, contact us to connect with a foster or join us at an adoption event!

Ginger’s Pet Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We rely solely on the support from adoption fees and donations to help us provide for the ~100+ dogs in our rescue at any given time.

How We Rescue

We take in dogs from local families in need, in state and out of state shelters, and we also work with overseas rescue groups on occasion. We do not discriminate – we rescue dogs small and big, old and young, healthy and sick, purebred and Heinz 57! Our belief is that every dog deserves a forever home.
Our History

Ginger’s Pet Rescue was founded in 2006 by Ginger Luke after saving one Dachshund’s life turned into a life-long endeavor. The organization is dedicated to providing great care for our dogs and adoption efforts!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Ginger's Pet Rescue has all our dogs in foster care.

You must complete an application and then you can meet the dogs by appointment with the foster dog parents.

You may also come to one of our adoption events to meet our adoptable dogs and fill out an application in person: www.gingerspetrescue.org/events

Our Adoption Process...

The first step to adopting a pet from Ginger’s Pet Rescue is completing our Adoption Application and email to ginger@gingerspetrescue.org or submit via our Contact Form on our website. This application will allow us to know more about your family, what kind of pet will fit best and your home, and whether you will be a good match for one of our dogs. Please include the dog(s) you are interested in on the application. We review applications upon receipt and will reply as soon as possible, usually within 1-2 days.

Adoption fees range from $300-$700 depending on a number of the factors, and adoption fees are what allow us to continue our rescue, as our primary source of funding.

If for any reason the dog does not work out, we are willing to take the dog back and refund your adoption fee less a $100 rehoming fee.
