Larry's Story...
Adoption in progress. We are calling this one year old, 7 lb. Chihuahua, Larry. He was rescued from the Seacca Animal Shelter, Downey, CA on 10/29 by the lady who found him running loose on the street. He was just neutered 10/29, got his shots and microchip. He will be available for adoption on or after 11/6. The shelter staff as well as the lady who found him on the street said he is incredibly sweet, he was good with the other dogs and while at the good sam's house overnight he was good with her dogs and cats. His nails have been cut. He's got a good appetite and could not be sweeter. He also appears to be housebroken. He was bathed and given a flea bath as he was loose on the streets of Compton where his good sam works in the school district. Adoption process is completion of a pre adopt ap, homeck, contract, two week trial period and followup visit. Adoption donation is $200

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Larry, a Lomita Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Lomita, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Lomita.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lomita already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lomita breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lomita paves the way for another one to be saved.
