This little girl came to Surfcat after being rescued from a feral colony. Due to VCAS overcrowding, we took this beautiful baby in with her brother Ula Kai!!
Ahina means "gray" in Hawaiian and she is a beautiful gray/black tabby! After her vet check it was brought to our attention that Ahina has a birth defect. Her little ribs do not go all of the way to her sternum therefore lacking ther much needed bone protection of her right lung! But that hasn't stopped her from her very active play schedule in the Surfcat kitten room!
Ahina loves to play and jump with her kitten roomates. She is still a little shy around new people so it will take a little time for her to trust you...nothing that yummy food and some lovin' won't fix!
As with all of our Surfcats, Ahina will need to be an indoor cat. Due to her condition she would be suited best for a home with no small children or very energetic dogs. Her new family will need to be overly aware as she grows larger making sure that she is developing normally.
Ahina will require her spay be done by a specialist and we are raising $1300.00 to do that! If you would like to help Click Here to donate!
If you are interested in adopting Ahina, please fill out this Adoption Application and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Then call to schedule a one on one meet 'n greet with Ahina!!
