Susie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, declawed, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Susie's Story...

Susie came to Surfcat after her owners could no longer care for her and brought her to VCAS Camarillo Shelter. You can only imagine that this beautiful BlueCream Tortie was not having any of that action!! She swiftly informed the shelter staff to "BACK OFF"... landing her in quarentine!! Some kitties just don't do well in a shelter and Susie was one of thos kitties! When we heard of her plight Surfcat immediately put out a call for a Foster Mom and within a couple of hours Susie was on her way to her new foster home where she could be safe and quiet until her new hoomans could be found!! Susie loves attention so much....that she just can't share her people with ANYONE!!! So we feel it best for her to be the only kitty in the castle.

Susie has a magnificent coat and loves to be brushed making bonding time the favorite part of her day. She is a very saavy kitty so a confident cat person would be the best person for her. We think she's about 6 or 7 but she acts like a young cat!

Susie was previously declawed by her former guardian and must be indoors only. She is spayed, vaccinated, de-wormed and micro-chipped and ready to fall in love with you today!! If you are interested in Susie please fill out our adoption application and email it to We will contact you to make arrangements to meet this spunky girl at her foster home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Susie, a Oxnard Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Oxnard, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Oxnard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oxnard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oxnard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oxnard paves the way for another one to be saved.
