Molly's Story...
MEET MOLLY!!!

Molly is a beautiful senior girl who ended up at the shelter through no fault of her own. Her mom, whom she had been with since she was a kitten, passed away leaving her in the custody of her children. Unable to care for her, Molly was surrendered to VCAS and placed up for adoption. Some cats just don't do well at the shelter and Molly was one of those Kitties! Well, Surfcat was not going to let this girl languish in a cage for long. We put out a call for a senior foster and the next day we were able to rescue Molly and place her in a calm quiet home while she awaits her forever new family.

I believe that Molly sees herself cuddled up next to a wonderful hooman while they read a book, watch a show, or take a cat nap together. She is sweet and kind and loves to be pet and loved on. Molly was declawed by her previous guardian and must be indoors only.

Molly is spayed, vaccinated, de-wormed and micro-chipped and ready to go home with her purrfect purrson today! If you are interested in adopting Molly please fill out our adoption application and send it to info@surfcatcafe.org. We will contact you to set up a meet 'n greet with her at her foster home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Molly, a Oxnard Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oxnard, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oxnard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oxnard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oxnard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oxnard paves the way for another one to be saved.
