Jericho's Story...
Leona and Jericho are another pair of kittens ready to find a home! They are about 12 weeks old and just the sweetest little kitties. They are both playful and enjoy being held. Leona is a female and a lot more outgoing. She is always the first one to greet new people. Jericho is a male and he is a little more reserved and needs a little encouragement to go up to visitors. He follows his sister around and does whatever she does so he would love to find a home with his sister! They both do ok with other cats with a slow introduction. The adoption fee for Leona is $145 and Jericho is $135 and includes any age appropriate vaccines, registered microchip, fecal exam, deworming, FIV/Felv test, and spay/neuter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jericho, a Joliet Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Joliet, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Joliet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Joliet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Joliet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Joliet paves the way for another one to be saved.
