"Oh my, my, my, Maia!" That’s what I’ve heard, when people describe me! I’m also known as "Red." A perfect name for a ginger, right? Don’t you need a ginger in your life? I mean, we are a rare, but awesome find!
I am a 1-year, 9-month-old hound mix gal. I was brought in to the shelter with my housemate, and we both had parvo! It’s a terrible disease. My housemate, who was not as sick as me, has already been adopted, but I needed more time to recover. Luckily, one of the fantastic KCPP staff members took me home to give me extra attention and love while I recovered and gained much needed weight. As much as she loves me, she knows it’s time I find my true forever home. Are you that home?
I am a playful girl, who LOVES bouncy balls and squeaky toys. Oh, and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE play fetch with me! Fetch is the BEST! Oh, wait, MAYBE cuddles on the couch are the best. I love cuddles on the couch, too. I’m torn!
I’ve also been on daily car rides while in foster care, and I’m a peach! I’m a great girl in my kennel, too! And good on the leash on walks! Oh, and did I mention, I’m super food motivated! Which is great, because I still need to put on some weight, AND I can do so while I learn new things! I already appear to know the commands, "sit," "stay," "come," "shake" and "drop it"! (The benefits of staying with a KCPP staff member, right?!?!?) But I’d love to learn new things, too!
I can be a bit bossy, so I may be better as your one and only dog. But trust me, I promise you, I will fill your heart with all you need.
