My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Well hello! My name is Tanya, and I'm a sweet, loving, happy-happy 14-pound Schnauzer/ Poodle mix little girl who was born about October 2014. When my foster mom isn't watching, I jump up in her chair and wag my tail -- like 'this is the life.' I like to go out with the dogs in the back yard, but I absolutely LOVE to go out the front door on a leash to see the world. Boy, howdy, now that's exciting!
Conditions have not always been as loving as in my foster home. My Chihuahua buddy Ralph and I were abandoned on the patio of an apartment when our owners moved away and left us behind. Can you imagine? They didn't take very good care of me either, and my coat was a mess! It looked like I'd never been brushed in my life -- much less groomed. So the first thing Buster's Friends did was to shave me.
My owners didn't spend much time with me either, so I was very frightened when I first came to my foster home. At least Ralph came with me, but everything else was new and scary. However, after three weeks, I have adjusted and am happy with the whole gang: my foster mom, her big dog, and all the foster cats.
Now I'm all ready for my forever home with a family who will love me and appreciate me for the affectionate and adorable girl who I am! I am just going to need an understanding, patient adopter who will give me time to adjust to my new family and environment. My foster mom testifies that I am a very good dog and will be a wonderful companion. Oh what a joy it will be to be coddled and cherished by my lifetime companion! Could that be you?
Tanya is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. Her adoption fee is $150, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Tanya, and we can arrange for you to meet her.
