J.T. Kirk's Story...
Kirk is a kitten who had apparently been abandoned in an area where other cats were being fed. Like Captain Kirk of Star Trek, little Kirk found himself on a foreign, dangerous planet. Without the safety of a phazer gun, little Kirk had no recourse but to hide in a hole in the ground. The kind people who were feeding cats in the area alerted FOWA Rescue about this little kitten, who would occasionally pop his head out of a hole. He was rescued (or beamed up) to safety and found to be a gentle, playful kitten. He has decided that space is not for him and is ready for a loving, permanent home, where he can live long and prosper. If interestsed in having J.T. Kirk fly into your life, apply at www.fowarescue.com and call 973-902-7515.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

J.T. Kirk, a Wayne Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wayne, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Wayne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wayne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wayne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wayne paves the way for another one to be saved.
