My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Baiku. His name probably has your attention already, right? This 1 year old, 20 pound fellow came to America from Korea. He was found by a reservoir, covered with ticks and obviously a stray or abandoned. He was rescued, and he made his journey to America where he now waits for his forever home. He’s a Jindo mix, which is probably not a breed most of us are familiar with, but once you see him, we’re pretty sure you’ll agree he’s as cute as a button! He’s housetrained, crate trained, and he knows a few basic commands. He’s an excellent hiker, and he makes a point to stay near to his foster mom when they are on the trail. She is quick to point out, though, that he does like to wander if left outdoors alone at home, and he’s not a great leash walker. He’s good with other dogs, ignores cats, and has done well with foster mom’s little grandchild. He has good house manners and has free roam of the house when foster mom is gone. He’s a quiet fellow who doesn’t bark very much, but will do a bit of ‘talking,’ which is quite entertaining! Foster mom says that he is affectionate and joyful and very eager to please. He can be a bit shy, but he is very well behaved, and we are confident that this little Korean Jindo will do very well in his new home and country!
