My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Idgie was surrendered to Saving Grace with an obvious leg injury. It was confirmed by the vet that her leg was once broken, never fixed, so it healed wrong. We aren’t sure what caused the injury, but there is some scarring on her paw. Since the injury happened while she was a growing pup, her leg is now shorter than the others, causing her to walk with a limp. The doctor says she is not in any pain, and Idgie definitely doesn’t let her limp slow her down. She runs like the wind with the other dogs in her foster home, and exhausts them with endless playing.

She’s full of personality and incredibly loving. Her favorite place to sleep is squished behind a human’s back & shoulders, with her head in the bend of their neck. She gets along great with other dogs, and loves all people. She’s crate trained and housebroken, and does well on a leash. She’s about 8 months old, and won’t get much bigger. She will be a short and stout pittie, which is good for her leg issue. She needs to stay a healthy weight, because obesity will put pressure on her joints, and potentially worsen her limp and cause pain. Idgie is such a happy dog, we want her to lead a healthy wonderful life!
