My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Flurry. I am about 2 years old and I am a White Shepherd/Husky mix. I look like a White Shepherd but I have some of the characteristics of a Husky. I was found as a stray and brought to a high kill shelter in Southern, IL. Nobody knows why I was wandering around but I was at the shelter for a few weeks til someone saw my picture. But now I am in a foster home and I no longer have to be behind bars. Whew! I like my foster home. I not only have a foster Mom and Dad but I have a nice teenage boy that takes care of me. He takes good care of me. He takes me for walks and I walk pretty well. I know I’m supposed to walk by the Human’s side but well, I do have that Husky in me and I have to lead but I don’t pull so badly. I’m a quiet dog – I don’t bark much only when I hear another dog bark. There are cats that live in my foster home and I am very gentle with them. I try to play with them and I get a correction. My foster Mom thinks I was someone’s dog because I know some commands: SIT, COME, OFF – that one is hard because I do that a lot. So maybe my next home I should have a “caution” with little kids because I might jump on you and if you small kids I might jump on them. I have been around other dogs and I am not aggressive with them but I need to learn boundaries with them. I just want to play. I am house trained and am not food aggressive. Another Husky trait is I talk to you when I get excited especially when I want to play. I would love to have a family that would have a fenced yard so that I wouldn’t become a stray again. A family that would take me for walks and maybe training. I would love to be a good dog that someone would love and be so proud of. I am a beautiful dog but I am big boy that needs to learn boundaries. Would you like to meet me? My foster Mom can tell you all about me all you got to do is contact her. Thanks, Flurry.
