LIL' BOO ~ He's an 11 pound and 1 year old black and tan dapple Dachshund & Miniature Pinscher mix. He came to us injured, having been hit by a car or caught by a coyote. Thankfully his injuries were minor and he is all healed from those wounds and from his neuter surgery.
His psychological wounds run deeper and he is fearful of people. Boo needs a patient home where he can blossom at his own rate. He will resist being picked up, but he will not bite. Once you have him in your arms though, he will eventually relax and enjoy the experience.
Lil’ Boo needs a home with another dog. He is clearly more comfortable around his own kind, and they help him relax. Lil’ Boo is using training pads consistently. He is fearful outside on a leash, so we’ve kept him in. He may be a bit of an escape artist, as he’s proven he can climb up and over a 3’ tall wire kennel.
Once you get a look into his soulful eyes, you will see how badly he wants to be loved and protected. He is gorgeous, shiny, and sleek. He could still use a little more weight, but he is a very fit and healthy puppy. He is beginning to show his personality, which is curious, playful and smart.
Foster mom Julie says if you are interested in meeting or adopting him please complete an adoption application and schedule your home safety check so you are pre-approved.
