Gillian's Story...
Gillian is a 10 year old, 10 lb black and gray Shih Tzu Mix who was owner surrendered at the shelter because her family's landlord would no longer allow them to have pets at their apartment.

Gillian was set to be euthanized a day before Adopt Me Rescue met her at the shelter because they needed space for other dogs. One of our volunteers rescued her before she could be put to sleep.

Despite being at the shelter for almost two months, Gillian was extremely loving and playful. Although she is 10, Gillian is very active and enjoys long walks and cuddling with you. She is great with everyone, including kids and just wants to sleep on your lap all day.

If you are interested in Gillian, please complete the on-line application as she does not always attend the weekly adoption event on Saturdays at PETCO.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gillian, a Studio City Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Studio City, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Studio City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Studio City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Studio City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Studio City paves the way for another one to be saved.
