Spade *FEE REDUCED*'s Story...
Meet Spade! Spade is new here, so our caretakers are still learning about his personality. Spade came to us when he was rehomed but was not welcome in the home and left outside most of the day. He is a young, one-year-old guy who could use some work in the manners department, but has a whole lot of love to give! His previous owners said he did ok with other dogs and kids, but we are not yet sure how he is with cats. Interested in spending time with this handsome pup? Come on in and just ask for him!

As we get to know him more, we will let you know Spade is available and able to have applications submitted once you've met. For more information, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spade *FEE REDUCED*, a Wilmington Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
